the sun always sets on the right- now what's left? [Aug. 12th, 2005|12:27 am]

What would you like to be called?

How old are you?

Where are you and why are you where you are?
I am on the floor of my room because that is where the computer is. My room is in El Paso, Texas because my parents opened a store here a year or so ago and about six months or so ago I had a mental breakdown and felt the need to run away so I came here, as a fugitive from drama and the passssst.

Why would you like to be a part of The ever-delicious Bucket Squad?
Well, because it was my idea, silly! And I would love to see other peopleses art. It would be like an online Sight Unseen Journal.

List a few of the bands/peoplewhomakemusic you like to listen to and justify your reasons for doing so.
-Grandaddy because their general sound and lyrics make me smile and feel that some things might still be pure.
-Gorillaz because they are groovalicious and not confined to one genre. And because they are Kick Ass cartoon characters.
-Eisley because they remind me of what it was like to be a little girl and you can just drown in it. And because their music is beautiful.
-The Faint because they make fucking awesome music to drive to and sometimes you just need something to air drum/spasm to.
-Local H because of their randomly clever couplets and because they capture a primal essence in me. Also because no one in the world has more effortless stage presence than Scott Lucas.

What is your preferred medium of art?
Photography. Although I would really love to be able to do collage type mixed media things well.

BECAUSE IT'S EASY no just kidding. Because a photograph is the one thing I can look at and judge without being harassed for it. And also, I really like the idea that every single photograph I take, no matter how similar or dull, will be the only one that captured that fraction of a second of existence.

What are a few (that means more than one) things that set you apart from other people? Be specific and feel free to brag. But not too much.
I am honest. I try to be tactfully honest but it doesn't always work. I started composing music when I was seven. Granted, I wasn't very good, but it comes naturally to me. I am made of mood swings.

What is your ideal future?
Getting through my last year of high school without any hassles, then going to the School of Visual Arts & getting a job shooting for a music/fashion magazine of some sort. Maybe being a tattoo artist on the side. Finding someone I won't get bored with who won't get bored with me. Maybe being a foster mother. SETTING SHIT ON FIRE MANG

Tell us a secret!

(was me)

and now for your fantabulous artwork:
1- "memories/dreams...?"
- drawing
- Sharpies

2- "C O S M O S"
- mixed media thing
- spray paint, plastic binder dividers, paint marker

3- "____ was here"

- photograph
it was me!
